When in Kasongo in May 2012, I had the opportunity to visit the well-financed Catholic school. The conditions there are much better than the average school in the Congo. It was great to find a place of hope in the eastern Congo.
The tour of the school was with one of my colleagues with the Rule of Law section of the UN. He graduated from that same school, so was in a good position to symbolize the benefits of education (as both a UN lawyer and a law professor).
